First off, before placing a bet, realize that the money you’re placing is not an investment; there is no guarantee of return.  I view betting as a purchase, buying a little extra excitement for when the opening kick-off happens.  Gamblers can bet on anything and the addiction of gambling isn’t about money, it’s the adrenaline dump or placing your bet and watching the final minutes of the game.

The mindset to bet has to be viewed as the pivotal part of any sports betting; here is where your decision to purchase some extra excitement from the game is made.  Remember: don’t buy more excitement than your bank account can support.
